    Valley Voices Production

    Hardman Farm State Historic Site
    Coming Spring / Summer 2022

    The outdoor play Valley Voices is tentatively scheduled to be performed on the grounds of the Hardman Farm State Historic Site during 2022. Performance times will be determined by the impact of COVID-19. The play tells the story of Georgia’s Nacoochee Valley from ancient times until today. Actors relay events through the eyes of such notables as Daniel Brown, Captain James Nichols, Dr. Lamartine Hardman and others. Stay tuned to this site for exact times and dates.

    White County Historical Society Speaking Event

    White County Historical Society
    Rescheduled due to COVID / Date TBD

    Emory Jones plans to speak at the White County Historical Society’s meeting . He will discuss his newest book, Cunningham and Other Pigs I Have Known, as well as his upcoming book about the 1930 murder of 11-year-old Lorena Clayton. Many believe the girl’s spirit still haunts the Cooley Woods Road and the surrounding area.

    The Sautee Nacoochee Cultural Association

    The Sautee Nacoochee Cultural Association (SNCA) will show the documentary, Distant Voices, in January of 2021. This 63-minute film, created by Emory Jones and David Greear, features the art, voices and on-camera appearances of more than 30 prominent Northeast Georgians. Nationally known musician, DeDe Vogt, provided original music for the production. Stay tuned to this site for exact times and dates.

  • Cleveland Georgia’s Historic Courthouse

    Emory Jones will be signing books at Cleveland Georgia’s historic courthouse from 10 A.M. until 3 P.M. on Saturday, December 11th. Hopefully, his new book, Cunningham and Other Pigs I Have Known will be available, but it’s going to be tight, so no promises.
